Biography:
Sinestro is a fictional character appearing in publications by DC Comics. He is best known as a prominent antagonist of the Green Lantern Corps. His first appearance was in Green Lantern (Vol. 2) #7.
Originally a skilled and respected member of the Green Lantern Corps, Sinestro hailed from the planet Korugar. He was considered the greatest of the Green Lanterns, known for his effectiveness in maintaining order in his sector.
However, Sinestro's methods were often authoritarian, using fear to control his sector. His descent into tyranny led to his expulsion from the Green Lantern Corps and the loss of his power ring. This marked the beginning of his antagonistic relationship with Hal Jordan and the rest of the Lantern Corps.
Driven by a desire for order and control, Sinestro became the leader of the Sinestro Corps, wielding a yellow power ring fueled by fear. He sees the Green Lanterns' willpower-based system as flawed and believes that fear is a more effective means of maintaining order in the universe.
